3:15-4:10pm session for Y3-4 (prompt collection at 4:10 required if not attending another club afterwards)

4:15-5:10pm session for Y5-6

Comics fans unite for an after-school club of comics drawing and storytelling! Every week, through a mixture of drawing tutorials and original worksheets, we'll take on a different challenge (ranging from technical challenges such as lettering and drawing body language to playing with literary themes like fantasy and sci-fi). Creating comics together is not only a fun way to unleash creativity, but brilliant for developing language and communication skills, and often for boosting confidence. Led by artist and children's bookseller Mark Pembrey.

Apologies in advance if the 3:15 session has sold out. This session has proven popular and always fills up fast. I also run a monthly Comics Club at The Alligator's Mouth children's bookshop if your child would be interested in joining, and if you drop in while I am working (currently Mon-Thurs) I am always happy to look at children's comics/artwork and advise on book recommendations.
